A NEW LEADERSHIP
A new philosophy
Welcome to Synthesis' new face, we're an old wow guild on Gandling-EU that has recently gone through significant structural and leadership changes.
Our goal is to provide a friendly yet structured and ambitious environment for serious and mature World of Warcraft Classic players. We are looking for a few more progress driven core members to add to our raid team. Our raiding environment is rather laid back although we do have a healthy combo of min/maxing players that come with a fountain of information regarding their specific classes and the encounters.
Our raid times are:
BWL Raid - Saturday 19:30 (ST)
MC Raid - Thursday 20:00 (ST)
Alt Raid - Sunday 20:00 (ST)
The goal of the guild is to create a friendly and competitive environment in which a like-minded group of individuals can thrive, allowing them to clear all available and future raid content.
We expect raid members to come prepared with proper addons, buffs, consumables, keys/cloaks/necks, and be ready at the raid instance ahead of raid times. We like to progress through content, but we will not attempt to set raid speed records or achieve classic world firsts. We have fun and joke during the raids, but not at the expense of wiping repeatedly on trash or a boss.
We want people in the guild that enjoy being part of the guild, and may even do things together on non-raid nights.
EXPECTATIONS FROM A RAIDER
We are serious about clearing all the raid content, in order to achieve this we expect you to:
Be on time for raids
Be in your correct spec for progression raids
Have your gear repaired and properly enchanted. Bring the needed resistance gear with you aswell as any needed key, amulet or cloak
Have the required consumables on you for the duration of the raid, world buffs and additional (non mandatory) consumables are encouraged
Have a fundemental knowledge of your class and a willingness to improve upon that knowledge
We are all humans and we acknowledge that life has to come first. But we also expect commitment: if you can't make it to a raid you have to let the guild know. And if that happens too often, then you might ask yourself if raiding is the correct commitment for you to take.
Every member in Synthesis is being held to the same standard. It doesn’t matter your rank, attendance or time in the guild. We are all responsible for keeping each other on our toes, and in line with our common goal. It’s okay to have expectations of your fellow raider and we do feel this helps us to create the best guild environment we can.
Everyone within the guild can always come forward with ideas or ways to improve the guild.
The guild is running with a "DKP like" system called EPGP (Effort Points/Gear Points).
EPGP stands for Effort Points/Gear Points. Effort Points (EP) quantify the effort each member put towards the, hopefully common, guild goals. Gear Points (GP) quantify what loot each member got back in return. Loot priority (PR) is computed as the quotient of the two:
PR = EP/GP
The person with the higher PR gets the first say on loot. As a result, the more effort you put the more gear you receive. As a matter of fact, the gear you receive is proportional to the effort you put.
EPGP is based on this simple principle, but there are some complexities that need to be dealt with which will be covered below.
During raids, some members will end up on standby. Players on standby will receive 100% effort points as long as they stay active.
In order to award recent effort more than past effort, which in effect avoids PR hoarding for veterans and enables new coming and dedicated members of a guild to be awarded properly, decay is happening after each progression raid. This will reduce everybody's EP and GP by a fixed %.
You will earn EP after each BWL boss kill.
MC and Onyxia loot will be given via Council Loot except for Tier 1 which will go for /roll.
Priority on loot will always be Main>Alt>Recruit. "Alts" can be asked to pass loot to "Mains" if deemed necessary.
Recruits can only obtain gear if no raider wants the item, but they will still receive Effort Points when attending raids.
Below is a list of all allowed debuffs. We have a limited amount of debuffs, so we have to be stricts about our usages, the debuffs will shift as we move through the content phases and as our raid composition changes.
Below you will find the full raid consumable list. Each raider is required to have enough consumables for a raid clear.
Below is a list of dedicated guild crafters and guild gatheres. These people will have priority on profession patterns/recipes. If no guild crafter wants the pattern then it will be rolled out for all raiders that can learn it. The guild gatheres are the people that are allowed to gather raid materials.
NOTEWORTHY / LEGENDARY ITEMS
Concerning legendary items: the GB will help with the Sulfuron Ingots and the Elementium Bars as they drop, the rest is on the raider.
